A Chevrolet Corvette (paced) the xxxx Indianapolis 500, and Chevrolet built these pace car replicas to commemorate the event. These cars had their very own serial number sequence from other 78 Corvette's, which was a Corvette first.
 
This xxxx Corvette Pace Car (Special Edition) has been fully restored under (xxxx Miles) by Mike Sherratt at (Superior Services) in Cedar City Utah.  $45,000 has been invested to date on the re-birth.

Odometer reads 67,700 miles. This Corvette is number "592" out of xxxx made. It has a gorgeous $13,000 paint job done by (Heavenly Bodies Customs) in Cedar City, UT. New correct original colors: Tuxedo Black top, Indy Silver bottom, with red pin stripe. After the base coat, the car was then clear coated, so the paint is perfectly smooth and the pin striping does not sit on top of the clear coat. The clear coat itself has a little blue metallic mixed in, so in the right light it has an amazing blue tint to it. 
?All body panels line up excellent and are very straight. The doors shut perfectly.  This car has spent its entire life in Southern Utah and is rust free. The under carriage has been Rhino Lined for continued protection.
 
L-82 350 cubic inch V8 engine, this is an all numbers matching car and drive train. The motor has been rebuilt and stepped up to over 350 horse power. It runs very strong. All Lunati internals with 10.5:1 compression and a Voodoo cam, has a little lope to it, but still has enough vacuum to run headlights, heat/AC controls and power brakes. Runs on premium gas. No special fuels or additives needed. If you have driven a standard L-82 Corvette, this one is much faster. Original Rochester carb has been rebuilt and feeds the engine very well.  The original Turbo-350 transmission was also fully rebuilt for performance and has a shift kit installed. The rear end was fully rebuilt with new bearings, U-joints, and 3.70:1 posi trac gearing. New Interstate battery. New true dual exhaust with Dynomax mufflers. Sounds throaty and deep.
 
All new upgraded suspension with new springs and Bilstein shocks, handles excellent, tracks straight. All new brakes, pads and stainless brake calipers. This car does not pull to one side which is a common problem on most C3 corvettes. Brand new 255/60-R15 BFGoodrich Radial TA tires with white letters out, less than 100 miles. Restored original aluminum wheels with correct red pin stripe that shine up to a mirror.
 
Has tilt/telescoping steering wheel. All new leather steering wheel, seats, and door panels. New carpet and embroidered floor mats. Interior is absolutely perfect. Everything is new with the restoration. Power windows, power locks, with keyless entry added. The car comes with two key fobs and two sets of keys. Cruise control, AC (works great), rear window defogger, remote mirrors and all new weather stripping.  Car is sealed and quiet, the T-tops don't leak and they lock in very well. No scratches or blemishes anywhere.   
 
Has a Corvette tape deck that is hooked to a 10 disc CD-changer. Has the four speaker option with all new speakers, the stereo sounds great. Has power antenna option that works great. Car also came with the convenience group package which includes color matched floor mats, intermittent windshield wipers, Passenger visor vanity mirror and many other interior options. Car is stored in climate controlled garage and covered when not in use and comes with custom fit car cover.
 
REASON FOR SELLING:
With a family and two small children at home it has come time where we must part with a (rare) Corvette we had hoped to keep for some time.
